<p>Maryam Shetty, who came into the limelight after the withdrawal of her ministerial nomination in 2023 by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, awarded the winners who submitted their recitations online and were selected based on their capability and prowess after assessment.</p>

<p>She said it is very important to showcase to young people the need to enjoy what is good and forbid what is wrong, which in Islam means Amru bil ma’ruf wa nahi anil munkar.</p>

<p>Hajiya Maryam Shetty said the initiative is a continuous one and will be sustained to encourage more people.</p>
<p>In a remark, Islamic scholar Malam Hafizu Rogo expressed gratitude to Mrs. Maryam Shetty for organizing the Quranic recitation competition online.</p>
<p>He said Shetty has brought forth a great initiative and embarked on it with the most revered book.</p>
<p>According to him, when one embraces the Al-Qur’an, Almighty Allah will uplift one’s status in society.</p>
<p>Sheikh Hafiz Rogo said the angel sent by Almighty Allah to reveal the Al-Qur’an Angel Jibril is the most revered among the angels of Allah.</p>
<p>He added that the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina, where the Qur’an was revealed, are the most revered and holy cities in Islam.</p>
<p>And for mankind, the best of Allah’s creatures Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is the most revered among the prophets of Allah and all of mankind.</p>
<p>Nuradeen Mu’azu from Abuja clinched the first position with 1 million Naira, while Muhammad Idris Khalid from Bauchi won 500 thousand Naira, and A’isha Dahir from Jigawa received 250 thousand Naira.</p>
