APC praise singer and Tinubu’s Renewed Hope ambassador, Jadda Garko, has thrown his support behind Governor Uba Sani while accusing former governor Nasir El-Rufai of resisting accountability and undermining his successor.

Garko, speaking in Kaduna, said no leader should shy away from explaining how they managed public resources after leaving office.

“Any former governor or president, no matter the office he held if he is called to give account and he takes offense, then he is unjust,” he said. “And anyone who supports him on that basis is also unjust.”

He stressed that accountability is a duty, not betrayal, noting that the Kaduna State House of Assembly acted within its mandate by summoning El-Rufai.

“This call did not come from Governor Uba Sani. It came from the Assembly, whose members belong to different political parties. Do you think lawmakers would unite just to satisfy one man’s interest? No. The issue here is the wealth of Kaduna people,” Garko argued.

According to him, Uba Sani himself has no fear of facing scrutiny after office.

“Even Uba Sani is waiting for his turn. Should he stop the Assembly from doing their job? No. If he does, he will carry the burden before God,” he said.

On speculations of El-Rufai’s imminent arrest, Garko dismissed them.

“If El-Rufai thinks he will be arrested today, that will not happen. But when the time comes, and the law restricts foreign travel six months to elections, he will have to remain in Nigeria and face his record. This country belongs to everyone.”

Garko further accused El-Rufai of hypocrisy, recalling his past statements about banditry and security.

“He once boasted that his private security network was bigger than the police and admitted that ransoms and supplies were being given to bandits. All these things will come back to him. He must one day answer for them,” he said.

He also criticized El-Rufai for attacking Uba Sani despite the governor’s loyalty.

“It is laughable that El-Rufai now challenges Uba Sani. Till today, Uba Sani has never withdrawn his praises for him. He has never said anything contrary,” Garko noted.

Responding to El-Rufai’s claim that Uba Sani was only a “boy” and not a friend, Garko disagreed.

“When someone digs with you in the same trench, enters your household, and counsels you in your affairs that goes beyond calling him a boy. That is the role of a friend,” he argued.

Garko concluded with confidence that both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani would return for second terms in 2027.

“The APC has no fear. We are ready for Tinubu’s second term and Uba Sani’s second term. Nothing will stop it,” he declared.
