<p>The sudden removal and the MIRACLE RETURN of the Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the largest Television Network in Africa, Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos has brought questionable and doubtful moment and mix reactions by teaming number of NTA staff across the country.</p>
<p>I don’t want to talk about the controversial removal because I assume that in democracy the Chief Executive can hire and fire at his/her will. However, the subsequent directives issued by President Tinubu which officially call for immediate reversal of the new appointment and recalls the DG alongside some of his Executive Directors is what has became a subject matter especially when the New DG appointed under the gloom has already reported to the Headquarters, assumed and took over the mantle of leadership of the authority.</p>

<p>The news of Comrade Dembos reinstatement has brought joyous moments by NTA staff across the federation while the warm reception, the jubilation and the euphoria afforded to him upon his return by staff of NTA headquarters has demonstrated his virtues, nobility and qualities of good leadership. This has equally demonstrated his gesture of good working relationship with his subordinates. I watched a short footage on social media where NTA staff at the headquarters were excited expressing joy and happiness; singing and dancing with full of ecstasy welcoming back the DG after few weeks of his vacation. After watching the video, I went directly to the comment section where I read many positive responses in respect to Comrade Dembos return which I can vividly testify to it as my Boss. I first came to term with Comrade Abdulhamid Dembos when he was a General Manager NTA Kano, though I did not work directly with him but his great enthusiasm, hardworking and dedication toward transforming the Commerce Centre Station was really commendable and monumental. I could remember in 2014 when I first met with him at his office in Kano to request for my wedding coverage, I was so excited with the reception he offered to me where he assigned a cameraman and a reporter to provide full coverage of my wedding Fatiha despite the event took place outside Kano, a kindness I considered with highest esteem I ever received from a senior colleague precisely a General Manager we met for the first time.</p>
<p>Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos was later promoted to the rank of Zonal Director of NTA Kaduna Nework Centre. Where he worked harmoniously with the staff of the Centre. Having satisfied with the way he steered the affairs of any office he held sway, he was found worthy and subsequently appointed as Executive Director Marketing (EDM) at NTA headquarters Abuja. His hardworking, dedication, honesty and transparency earned him an accolade which paved way for his present position of Director General after serving on acting capacity for few months; he was appointed as substantive Director General by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 and also retained by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the same year.</p>

I pray that Almighty Allah bestow on to our indefatigable DG a successful tenure, good health and capacity to take NTA into a greater height.</p>
