<p>The famous autobiography of Nigeria’s late Islamic scholar, Where I Stand, by Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, who passed away on the 11th of September, 1992, has been translated into Arabic.</p>
<p>The author of the book, Professor Ismail Abubakar Tsiga, confirmed the development to Nigerian Tracker.</p>
<p>He said his representatives for the launch of the Arabic version of the book, which was translated by Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo of the Jammatul Izalatul Bidia wa Ikamatussunah, are already at the venue of the launch.</p>

<p>Where I Stand, authored by Ismail Abubakar Tsiga, was released in 1992 prior to the death of the late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi.</p>

<p>The book details the struggles of Sheikh Abubakar Gumi as one of the Islamic reformers of 20th-century Nigeria.</p>
<p>It also highlights his relationship with Nigerian leaders from independence until his death in 1992, and his contributions to Islamic knowledge, which include books he authored such as Aqidatussahiha Bimawafaqatisshariah and Raddul Azhan Ala Maanil Quran.</p>
<p>By September 11th this year, the late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi will mark 33 years since his passing.</p>
<p>Governor Uba Sani is serving as the Special Guest of Honour at the public presentation and launch of the book Where I Stand.</p>
<p>The event is taking place at the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Hall in Murtala Square, Kaduna.</p>
