<p>The landmark event, which drew participants from across the country, was hosted in collaboration with the SSANIP Dambatta Chapter and supported by the Kano State government.</p>
<p>In his address, the National President of SSANIP, Comrade Phillip Ogunsupe, commended the Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his administration’s outstanding efforts in the development of education in the state. He particularly noted that the state&#8217;s investment in the sector has surpassed the UNESCO-recommended benchmark, a feat he described as worthy of emulation by other states.</p>
<p>Comrade Ogunsupe also revealed that the College of Agriculture may soon benefit from an ongoing arrangement to link selected Nigerian agricultural institutions with the Olds College of Agriculture and Technology, Alberta, Canada. The partnership aims to foster collaboration in areas of research, staff development, and academic exchange.</p>

<p>Earlier in his remarks, the Provost of the College, Professor Muhammad Wailare, ably represented by the Deputy Provost, Dr. Hassan Ibrahim, expressed profound gratitude to SSANIP for choosing the institution as the venue for such a historic gathering. He also appreciated the unwavering support of the state governor toward the advancement of the college.</p>

<p>In his welcome address, the SSANIP Chapter Chairman, Comrade Nasidi Iyaye Kura, acknowledged the robust backing of the Kano State Government, particularly the Deputy Governor and the Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education, His Excellency Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, for their financial assistance in making the event a reality. He further appealed to the state government to collaborate closely with SSANIP to facilitate the proposed international partnership with Olds College, Canada.</p>
<p>The high-profile event witnessed the attendance of several SSANIP members and stakeholders from across Nigeria, marking a significant milestone in the union’s ongoing efforts to promote staff welfare, institutional collaboration, and educational advancement.</p>
