<p>The Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the passing of one of its most revered members, Fellow Bashir Chedi, who died on Monday, August 25, 2025. In a solemn statement released by the chapter, members expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a man described as a pillar, mentor, and guiding light in the public relations community. “We prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his gentle soul in Aljannah Firdaus,” the chapter wrote.</p><div class="mc2D4KMv" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>Chedi’s legacy in the public relations industry is marked by decades of unwavering dedication and professional excellence. According to the Kaduna NIPR Chapter, he served in multiple leadership roles, including Secretary and Chairman of the state chapter, and was a member of several national standing committees. His tenure as Chairman of the Chapters Relations Committee was particularly impactful, fostering collaboration and cohesion across regional branches of the institute.</p>

<p>Beyond his service to NIPR, Chedi held the position of Director of Corporate Communication, Commercial, and Public Relations at Dornier Aviation Nigeria. In this role, he was instrumental in shaping the company’s public image and ensuring its communications strategy aligned with global best practices. His colleagues at Dornier Aviation praised his expertise in crisis management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement, noting that his contributions elevated the firm’s reputation both locally and internationally.</p>
<p>Throughout his career, Chedi was known not only for his technical skills but also for his mentorship and commitment to nurturing young professionals.
