<p>In recent weeks, social media and certain online platforms have been flooded with sensational allegations accusing a director of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) of diverting billions of naira. While the headlines are dramatic, a deeper examination reveals a more troubling reality: these allegations are strategically planted to undermine the leadership of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, the current NAHCON Chairman.</p>
<p>Investigations show that the case being revived actually dates back to the tenure of former NAHCON Chairman, Jalal Arabi. Yet, unscrupulous actors have tried to tie these old accusations to Professor Usman. The motive is not justice it is power and control.</p>
<p>Some politically connected individuals aim to replace him with a candidate from a specific region, someone who would be compliant and allow the reopening of lucrative financial pipelines that Professor Usman has firmly blocked. <p>Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman is not merely an administrator he is an Islamic scholar whose life is anchored in honesty, fairness, and devotion to Allah. His leadership embodies the Qur’anic principle:</p>
<p>“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice.” (Surah An-Nisa, 4:58)</p>
<p>Those who know him testify that he would rather lose his office than compromise his integrity or the trust placed in him by pilgrims, government, or faith.</p>

<p>Historic Price Reductions: Including 720 SAR cut on Mashair services, 200 SAR on Madinah accommodation, 303 SAR on transport, and airfare reductions of $116–$149, benefiting thousands of pilgrims.</p>
<p>Expanded Hajj Savings Scheme: Making Hajj more accessible for youth and low-income earners.</p>
<p>Enhanced Welfare and Healthcare: Round-the-clock health services, stocked medical supplies, and VIP tents to minimize stress.</p>
<p>These reforms directly challenge entrenched corruption and have angered those who profit from opaque Hajj operations.</p>
<p>The Director and the Smear: Political and Regional Motives</p>
<p>It is critical to note that the director who has fueled these allegations is aligned with interests seeking to manipulate Hajj finances. By accusing Professor Usman of misconduct, they aim to:</p>
<p>Remove a principled leader unwilling to bend to political or financial pressure.</p>
<p>Install a successor from a preferred region who would allow control of contracts and funds for personal or regional gain.<br />
. Reopen avenues of fraud previously blocked by Professor Usman’s unwavering enforcement of accountability.</p>
<p>This is not just rumor-mongering it is a deliberate attempt to destabilize NAHCON and reverse reforms that have directly benefitted Nigerian pilgrims.</p>
<p>Qur’anic Guidance Against Deception. The Qur’an warns about such malicious actors:</p>
<p>“In their hearts is a disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:10)</p>
<p>Professor Usman, aware of these challenges, continues to act with courage and integrity, knowing that truth will ultimately prevail.</p>
<p>The 2025 Hajj: Proof of Leadership and Integrity</p>
<p>Under Professor Usman’s leadership, the 2025 Hajj exercise was the most affordable, transparent, and well-organized in NAHCON’s history. Pilgrims experienced lower costs, better welfare, and greater accountability than ever before. These tangible successes silence the noise of falsehood and demonstrate the real value of principled leadership.</p>
<p>In the words of the Qur’an: Nay, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it destroys it, so behold, falsehood is bound to perish.” (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:18)</p>
<p>Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman remains a beacon of honesty, faith, and service. As the waves of lies rise, they will crash and fade<br />
but the rock of integrity will stand unshaken, proving that leadership guided by justice, morality, and fear of Allah is stronger than any plot or political scheme.</p>
<p>Those who know him attest that he would rather resign than compromise his integrity or tarnish the image of Islam</p>
<p>While detractors peddle falsehood, let the truth be heard through concrete achievements recorded under his leadership:</p>
