<p>In a message jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, and the Secretary, Abubakar Shehu Kwaru, and dispatched to media organizations, the session was described as unique, excellent, and lively.</p>
<p>The message fondly recalled that since Kano was granted the hosting rights during the previous top-level meeting held in Abuja, there had been great anticipation and excitement among colleagues from across the country, eager to fulfill their dream of visiting the most vibrant city in northern Nigeria.</p>

<p>According to the message, the dates of August 11th to 13th will remain indelible in the memories of practicing journalists who gathered in Kano fondly referred to as the &#8220;umbilical cord of commerce&#8221; to participate in the national forum presided over by the courageous President of the Union, Comrade Alhassan Yahya. He was ably supported by his amiable Deputy, Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde, with attendance from nearly all NEC members, including the National Working Committee, zonal leaders, state council chairmen, and their secretaries from across the country and Abuja.</p><div class="JO23C6Rm" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>The highlight of the colloquium included a media tour of project sites initiated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration, a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive represented by his humble Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo an engaging NEC session, a dinner night, and enriching interactions with veteran journalists in Kano.</p>

<p>The message extended heartfelt gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for graciously hosting the event and for his generous financial support. It also praised the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, for his unwavering commitment to the success of the programme.</p>
<p>Finally, the Council commended the Union’s leadership, especially Comrade Alhassan Yahya and his team, for their solidarity and dedication to the cause, and wished all delegates a safe journey back to their respective destinations.</p>
