<p>One of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Hausa Service’s finest, Malam Mujtaba Ramalan Bello, has retired from service.</p>
<p>The ex-FRCN veteran journalist retired as General Manager of Pride FM Gusau, Zamfara State, Northwestern Nigeria.</p>
<p>Malam Mujtaba Ramalan Bello’s newscasting in the 1990s captivated the mind with his golden and sonorous voice.</p>

<p>He joined the FRCN in 1993 and was one of the best news presenters for Sashin Hausa, Radio Nigeria Kaduna, presenting news and political programmes.</p>

<p>In 2003, he was transferred to Yola, Adamawa State, as FRCN correspondent, and in 2007, he was transferred to Kano, where he served until 2014.</p>
<p>He started as a reporter/translator and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Director of News.</p>
<p>Before being transferred from Kano, he was the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and later Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano Council.</p>
<p>He became General Manager of Pride FM Gusau in 2017 and served until his retirement in August 2025.</p>
<p>Malam Mujtaba Ramalan Bello is happily married. He tied the knot in 1991, just before graduating from BUK, and is blessed with one wife, nine children seven girls and two boys and 11 grandchildren.</p>
<p>Malam Mujtaba Ramalan Bello hails from Zaria in Kaduna State.</p>
<p>Mujtaba Ramalan Bello’s journalism career spans over three decades of integrity, passion, and upholding the ethics of the profession.</p>
