<p>Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been commended for the support and cooperation he has given to the Office of the State Auditor General to discharge its official responsibilities.</p>
<p>The statement from the Office of the State Auditor General, signed by Malam Bashir Habib Yahya, stated that the State Auditor General, Alhaji Rabi&#8217;u Yusuf, revealed this in his remarks at the Citizens Accountability Report (CAR) 5th meeting in Kaduna State.</p>
<p>The State Auditor General stated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf provided all necessary support to the office of the State Auditor General to convene the CAR meeting, which is part of the global standard requirement by the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).</p>

<p>Alhaji Rabi&#8217;u appreciated the commitments and dedication of stakeholders from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), which will pave the way for Kano State to meet the standards set by the World Bank globally.</p>
<p>He maintained that the aim of CAR is to make the citizens fully knowledgeable about the developmental projects and social services being executed by the government across the state.</p>

<p>In his remarks, the Local Government Auditor General, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi, appreciated the effort of the State Auditor General, Alhaji Rabi&#8217;u Yusuf, in convening the 5th CAR meeting at the right time.</p>
<p>He also appreciated the foresight of the State Auditor General in producing technical terms of public financial management in the native language for better understanding of the citizens.</p>
