<p>In a significant development in the ongoing case between the Federal Republic of Nigeria vs. Sulaiman Aminu (Charge No. FHC/KN/CR/93/2025), the Kano State Commissioner for Transportation, Alhaji Ibrahim Namadi, has formally withdrawn his suretyship before the Federal High Court, in Kano.</p>
<p>In a letter addressed to the Deputy Registrar of the court, Alhaji Ibrahim Namadi, expressed his decision to withdraw as surety in the case for the defendant, citing personal reasons and the need to safeguard his integrity and the dignity of his office as a public servant.</p>

<p>The Commissioner emphasized that his initial role as surety was informed purely on personal volution, in accordance with the legal provisions, and motivated by longstanding family ties and humanitarian considerations. <p>Alhaji Namadi further reaffirmed his unalloyed loyalty to His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf, members of the State Executive Council, and the good people of Kano State. He also affirmed his readiness to provide any further clarification when required.</p>
<p>Namadi reiterated his commitment to supporting all government efforts aimed at eradicating drug abuse and restoring dignity and safety to communities across the state.</p>
