<p>Kano Pillars Football Club has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) worth â¦100 million with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, aimed at enhancing the club’s visibility, media capacity, and international appeal.</p>
<p>The signing ceremony took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata, Kano, where the General Manager of Kano Pillars, Ahmad Musa, officially announced the strategic partnership. <p>According to him, the partnership includes full sponsorship of the club’s new kits, provision of state-of-the-art media equipment, and capacity-building training for the club’s media department in professional video production and social media management.</p>

<p>On his part, the Nigeria Country Coordinator and Director of RFI Hausa, Mr. Joe Penny, expressed excitement over the collaboration, describing Kano Pillars as a club with huge potential and a fan base worthy of international branding.</p>
<p>“From what I have seen watching the Nigeria Premier Football League in 2011, I have no doubt I’m already a fan of Kano Pillars,” Mr. Penny stated.</p>
<p>He explained that RFI Hausa’s objective is to elevate Kano Pillars beyond local recognition and assist the club in reaching continental and international prominence.</p>
<p>“This partnership is more than just local branding; we want to help position Kano Pillars as an international football brand. We are offering equipment like professional cameras for the club’s media team and will provide training on content creation and social media management,” Mr. Penny added.</p>
<p>In addition to the technical and branding support, RFI Hausa will also publish match updates and club content on its various platforms, further increasing the club’s exposure to millions of listeners and followers across Nigeria and the diaspora.</p>
<p>The MOU comes as a timely boost to Kano Pillars’ ambition to reclaim dominance in Nigerian football and return to continental competitions. The club is expected to unveil its newly designed kits and upgraded media tools in the coming weeks.</p>
<p>The historic partnership reflects growing interest in local football by international media organizations, a move many analysts say is key to transforming the Nigerian league into a commercially viable product.</p>
