<p>Funeral prayers were held at the Prophet&#8217;s Mosque after the Maghrib (sunset) prayer.</p>
<p>Medina saw a significant influx of Nigerian officials for the funeral. A federal government delegation was led by Defense Minister Badaru Abubakar, while another group included Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi .</p>
