<p>Hon. <p>The transition was officially announced during the first meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) held in Abuja, where the party’s National Secretary, Senator Suraj Ajibola Basiru , presented Ganduje’s resignation letter and moved a motion for Dalori’s appointment in line with Article 14 of the APC Constitution.</p>
<p>“In accordance with our constitution, the Deputy National Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, shall assume the role of Acting National Chairman pending the appointment of a substantive chairman by the National Executive Committee,” Senator Ajibola stated. The motion was duly moved and seconded by NWC members.</p>
<p>In his inaugural remarks as Acting National Chairman, Hon. Dalori expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him, while pledging transparent and inclusive leadership during the transitional period.</p>

<p>“I assume this position not as a personal triumph, but as a call to serve,” Dalori said. “We must consolidate, not conflict. Show maturity, not division. Embrace vision, not personal ambition.”</p>

<p>He commended the contributions of the former chairman, Dr. Ganduje, acknowledged his experienced leadership since August 2023, and extended the party’s best wishes for his full recovery and personal well-being.</p>
<p>Dalori reaffirmed the APC’s loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressed the party’s full support for the President’s Renewed Hope agenda. “It is not just a campaign slogan; it is a living roadmap addressing our economic, security, and national cohesion challenges,” he said.</p>
<p>He also emphasized the need for internal reforms ahead of the 2027 general elections. “We must reconnect with the grassroots, enforce party discipline, and realign our structures to ensure electoral success,” Dalori noted.</p>
<p>The Acting Chairman disclosed that a practical roadmap will soon be shared with NWC members, focusing on party discipline, reconciliation, communication, mobilisation, and broader stakeholder engagement.</p>
<p>Dalori concluded his address with a call for unity and renewed commitment. “Let us honour the past, serve the present, and prepare for a brighter future — as one united and determined APC family,” he said.</p>
<p>The meeting marked a significant milestone as the APC seek to maintain internal stability and rally support behind the Tinubu administration’s governance objectives.</p>
