<p>The Chief Magistrate Court of Kabala Doki, Kaduna, presided over by Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid, has adjourned the murder case of Ahmed Musa, a Technical School (TS2) student at Government Technical College Malali, to July 8, 2025, for further hearing. <p>Four Security Personnel Appear in Court, Prime Suspects Absent</p>
<p>Out of the six suspects, only four appeared before the Magistrate Court. These four suspects—all personnel of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS)—were charged with the murder of Ahmed Musa. The two prime suspects, who are students, did not appear in court.</p>
<p>Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid ordered the four defendants to remain in a correctional facility. <p>Details of the Charged Suspects<br />
The four defendants are identified as:<br />
&#8211; Timothy Abba, 56 years old<br />
&#8211; Joseph Ogoni, 41 years old<br />
&#8211; Bulus Adamu, 42 years old<br />
&#8211; Francis Adamu, 48 years old</p>

<p>All of them are security personnel assigned to Government Technical College Malali.</p>
<p>Previously, all six suspects had appeared in court, facing charges of criminal conspiracy and negligence, which allegedly led to Musa’s tragic death. The suspects include two students, **Wisdom Markus Kefas** and **Innocent Yakubu**, alongside the security personnel. They remain in custody at Kaduna Correctional Centre.</p>
<p>Family Accuses Government of Negligence</p>

<p>Following the court session, Musa’s biological and stepmother expressed frustration over the handling of the case. In an interview with journalists, they accused the Kaduna State Government of attempting to frustrate the legal process.</p>
<p>_&#8221;I think the best course of action is to take legal steps by suing the Kaduna State Government for neglecting us,&#8221;_ Musa’s mother declared.</p>
<p>She further lamented the delays in the case:<br />
_&#8221;Today marks the sixth time we have attended court sessions, yet the prime suspects—the students—are absent. They only appeared once, while the security personnel have appeared three times. Even the police witnesses are failing to show up. We cannot sit idly while the murder case of our innocent son continues with inconsistencies.&#8221;_</p>
<p>_&#8221;As his biological mother, I am proceeding to the Federal High Court to demand comprehensive compensation for our family. I seek a transparent and decisive legal process to ensure justice and prevent any attempts at political interference.&#8221;_</p>

<p>Father&#8217;s Petition for Justice</p>
<p>Musa’s father had earlier submitted a petition dated February 24, 2025, addressed to the Kaduna State Governor through the Commissioner of Education. In the petition, he called for a thorough investigation into the murder and demanded that all individuals involved be held accountable.</p>
<p>He also urged the state government to compensate the family for negligence, considering that the deceased was under its custodianship at the time of the crime.</p>
<p>Kaduna residents and human rights activists continue to monitor the legal proceedings, calling for justice for the slain student.</p>
