<p>The meeting, chaired by Comrade Abubakar A. Dangambo, was aimed at strengthening the Chapel’s structure, reviewing its formation progress, and deliberating on the registration process for new members. Dangambo extended his appreciation to members for their dedication and emphasized the need for ethical considerations in news dissemination, urging journalists to prioritize public interest stories and uphold professional integrity.</p>
<p>During the session, Congress members examined and adopted both the Secretariat and Financial reports, underscoring the significance of transparency in the Chapel&#8217;s operations. Other pressing matters, such as the effective management of the Chapel’s secretariat and the registration of new members, also took center stage.</p>

<p>Following deliberations, the Congress resolved to set the registration fee for new members at N25,000, a move aimed at ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency. <p>Beyond internal matters, the Congress turned its attention to pressing community issues, calling on the Kano State Government to rehabilitate rural and community roads ahead of the impending rainy season. Members expressed concerns over deteriorating road conditions that pose challenges to transportation and economic activities. Additionally, the Chapel appealed for government support for farmers, urging authorities to provide essential agricultural inputs to ensure a bumper harvest.</p>

<p>The communiqué was e-signed by Comrade Abubakar A. Dangambo, the Council’s Chairman, and Isiyaku Ahmed, the Chapel’s Secretary. The drafting committee, consisting of Aliyu Mudi Sulaiman (Chairman), Salisu Kabuga (Secretary), and Sani Magaji Garko (Member),was responsible for compiling the resolutions.</p>
<p>The Congress reinforced its commitment to ethical journalism and professional excellence, as members continue to champion the role of online media in informing and shaping public discourse.</p>
