<p>In a statement he signed on Friday, the Chairman of the Kano Council, Comrade Dederi said these initiatives are aimed at enhancing the professionalism and welfare of journalists in the state.</p>
<p>According to him, the seven members of the Kano Information Advisory Council are:</p>

<p>The statement noted that further demonstrating its commitment to fostering a strong and collaborative relationship with the media, Hon. Ibrahim Waiya announced the upcoming launch of the Kano Press Support Fund.</p>
<p>&#8220;This initiative underscores the government&#8217;s dedication to supporting the vital role of journalists in the state.&#8221; It noted</p>
<p>Additionally, he added that the Iftar (fast-breaking) event, organized by the Honourable Commissioner for Information in collaboration with the NUJ Council, brought together veterans, stakeholders, and journalists in Kano, stressing, this event marked a historic milestone in the council’s history.</p>
<p>Comrade Dederi however noted that &#8220;NUJ Kano State Council extends its appreciation to the distinguished personalities who attended the event.&#8221;</p>
