Kano State is in mourning following the passing of Abdullahi Tanka Galadanci, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Radio. Mr. Galadanci passed away on March 26, 2025, after a brief illness. He was receiving treatment at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital at the time of his demise.
In an official statement released by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf expressed profound sorrow over the loss of a trusted and dedicated member of his administration. The Governor highlighted Mr. Galadanci’s significant contributions to the state’s media and communication efforts, describing him as an invaluable asset to the government.
“The demise of Abdullahi Tanka Galadanci is a great loss to our administration and the entire Kano State,” Governor Yusuf stated. “His commitment and passion for enhancing our communication channels will be deeply missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.”
The late Abdullahi Tanka Galadanci was known for his unwavering dedication to improving the state’s communication strategies, ensuring that the administration’s messages reached the people effectively. The burial rites for Mr. Galadanci are scheduled to take place today at 5:30 PM at the Filin Galadanchi Mosque, near the residence of Galadiman Kano. Friends, family, and colleagues are expected to gather to pay their final respects to a man who left an indelible mark on the state’s media landscape.
