<p>As the Chairman of the Planning and Advisory Board of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI), Pioneer Secretary-General of the Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures (CoSPAL), and Senior Special Assistant on International Cooperation to the President of Nigeria, Oyewole brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role as a Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow.</p>
<p>The Richard von Weizsäcker Fellowship Award, established in honor of the former German President, is a prestigious program that promotes multilateral exchange and interdisciplinary cooperation on global issues. As a Fellow, Oyewole will engage in solution-oriented dialogue and cooperation with international decision-makers, opinion leaders, and experts.</p>

<p>Oyewole&#8217;s fellowship project focuses on strengthening democracy and addressing emerging global challenges. He plans to &#8220;interrogate models and approaches for creating an institutional framework for strengthening legislative leadership and enhancing parliamentary diplomacy in Africa, especially drawing on German and European parliamentary experiences and global best practices.&#8221;</p>

<p>Oyewole&#8217;s achievement is a significant milestone for Nigeria and Africa, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and his passion for driving positive change. As a Senior Yale World Fellow, Senior Aspen Fellow, and Chevening Scholar, Oyewole continues to inspire and empower others through his work.</p>
