<p>The Presidency has refuted claims circulating on social media that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu forced eminent Nigerians to testify in an arbitration proceeding in Paris. The press release, issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, emphasized that the proceeding is confidential and should not have been reported in the media.</p>
<p>&#8220;The attention of the Presidency has been drawn to some fake news on social media about an arbitration proceeding in Paris to which the Nigerian Government is a party,&#8221; the statement read. It clarified that the private proceeding remains confidential until the international arbitrators reach a decision.</p>
