<p>Some of the lawmakers were recognised with an award of excellence regarding their contributions towards the development of the All Progressives Congress and Kano State at large.</p>
<p>The Minister of State Housing and Urban Development Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Director of the National Productivity Centre Baffa Babba Danagundi, Ex-Speaker Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, Ayuba Labaran Durum, Babangida Alasan Yakudima were honoured during the event.</p>

<p>Politics Digest reported that there were cheers by party supporters when Rurum was called to the stage to receive the award.</p>
<p>In his address, Abdul’azeez Gafasa, Chairman of the Forum, commended the honorees for their contributions to the party and reaffirmed the commitment to party unity.</p>
<p>“Our leaders are trying and have tried by bringing us together,” Gafasa remarked, encouraging continued mutual support and collaboration as the party looks toward future success.</p>
<p>Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the APC, who was represented by Abdullahi Abbas, the state party Chairman, emphasized the crucial role of unity in reclaiming power from the current New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) administration.</p>
<p>In his speech, Ganduje underscored that unity was the party’s only path to victory, stating, “Unity is the only way out for us; it’s the only option we have to get what we want.” He further criticized the current administration, asserting that the state was being mismanaged and that a change was imminent.</p>
