<p>At a press conference on Wednesday, president of the forum Muhammad Bello emphasized the importance of establishing the commission in order to ensure inclusiveness and good governance.</p>
<p>Muhammad Bello called the attention of the government to fellow suites with states like Plateau and Yobe states who already established similar commissions.</p>

<p>According to an estimation by association of people living with disabilities in Kano chapter, there are 43,418 people with disabilities in the state as of 2022″</p>

<p>Muhammad Bello said, establishing the commission will help in acquiring adequate data for the people living with disabilities in the state, for proper budgeting and policy formulation.</p>
<p>He said, non implementation of the commission will create room for abusing their rights and depriving them opportunities to get employment.</p>
