Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, recently met to deliberate on significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria. The meeting took place at Obasanjo’s residence in Abeokuta.

Kwankwaso, accompanied by his friend, former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, and other associates, paid a courtesy call on the former president. The NNPP national leader shared details of the visit on his verified Facebook page, expressing gratitude for Obasanjo’s warm support and hospitality.

“I was pleased to be in the company of my friend, HE Donald Duke, and other associates to pay a courtesy call on President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta,” Kwankwaso stated. He highlighted that the discussions focused on significant national issues, particularly the future of politics and governance in Nigeria.

Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of such deliberations in shaping the country’s political landscape and ensuring good governance. “Deliberations on significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria, defined the conversation,” he noted.

The NNPP leader expressed his appreciation for Obasanjo’s insights and guidance during the meeting. “We are grateful to Baba for his warm support and hospitality,” Kwankwaso added, referring to the former president affectionately as “Baba.”
