<p>Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) Chairman, Prof. Sani Lawal Malumfashi, has expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for reappointing him as chairman of the commission.</p>
<p>Prof Malumfashi stated this during an award presentation ceremony organized by commission members and staff to honor his leadership style during the recent 2024 local government election.</p>
<p>Prof. Malumfashi further stated that Governor Yusuf&#8217;s decision to reappoint him is a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in him.</p>

<p>Malumfashi attributed the success of the election to Almighty Allah, while acknowledging that any shortcomings were unintentional and apologized for them.</p>
<p>He also thanked commission members and staff for their support and cooperation throughout the election process.</p>

<p>Commissioner for Security and Protocols, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Na&#8217;Allah Kura, presented the award to Prof. Malumfashi, praising his leadership style and ability to listen to others.</p>
<p>Kura noted that Prof. Malumfashi often reconsidered his decisions when presented with reasonable arguments.</p>
<p>Kura maintained that based on the stated reasons, commission members and staff delegated him to present the award on behalf of them, as a token of appreciation for serving under Prof. Malumfashi&#8217;s leadership.</p>
<p>In a statement signed by Director public enlightenment of the commission Bashir Habib Yahya said the award was presented on behalf of commission members and staff to appreciate Prof. Malumfashi&#8217;s leadership.</p>
