The Chairman of the Young Progressives Party in Kano, Barrister SS Umar, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for intervening in two remote villages, Danshayi in Rimin Gado Local Government and Gishiri Wuya in Warawa Local Government Area, due to the lack of schools and roads in the area.
The YPP Chairman made the commendation while addressing newsmen in Kano.
He said, “I learned that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf heard the plight of the two communities over Arewa Radio regarding the lack of schools and good roads. The governor’s prompt intervention was timely.”
When the governor heard the information, he immediately dispatched the state commissioner of education to assess the place, which is a commendable initiative.
Barrister SS Umar added that the allocation of 31 percent to education for the 2025 fiscal year is a welcome development.
