The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) has adjusted the date for the local government elections by a month.
KANSIEC Chairman, Prof. Sani Lawan Malumfashi, announced the change of the date at a news conference on Friday.
Initially, the commission scheduled the election for November 30, however, the elections will now take place on October 26, 2024.
He added that all preparations by political parties campaigns will start from September 1, and ends on 25th October.
