National Prayers Cancelled In Kano
The announcement was made by Mubarak Ibrahim Lawan, the Coordinator of the national prayer against hardship and bad governance, who expressed deep regret over the situation.
In an official statement released on Friday, Lawan revealed that the decision to cancel the event was based on intelligence reports from the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, and the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the state, Alhassan Muhammad.
He said the Government cited security reasons where hoodlums will use the opportunity to hijack the congreagation
Malam Mubarak said instead of meeting at one of large prayer Mosque at Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani Mosque ,they have directed the organisers to pray at their respective mosques in their domains .
