Kano Youth Groups Advocate for Constructive Solutions Over “Days of Rage” Protests

-An amalgamation of Kano youth groups, led by Convener Musaddiq Wada Waziri and Co-Convener Jamilu Haruna, has urged citizens to pursue constructive solutions rather than participating in widespread protests tagged “Days of Rage.”

Acknowledging the rising cost of living and its impact on communities, the group recalled economists’ forecasts of these difficult times due to flawed currency stabilization and fuel subsidy policies.

They emphasized that, three months ago, the Renewed Hope Initiative promised significant measures to address youth empowerment, including student loans, micro-enterprise grants, rescue operations for kidnapping, and financial empowerment for local governments.

Given these assurances, the youth groups discouraged chaotic assemblies that might lead to destruction, advocating instead for lawful expressions of dissent through mass media and coordinated assemblies. They remain hopeful for a positive outcome and improved quality of life for all citizens.
