The managing director, Kano state housing corporation Alh Abdullahi Rabiu, has assured the Kano office of the federal competition and consumer protection commission his maximum support and cooperation towards realising their set objectives.
The managing director,gave the assurance when the management team of the commission led by it’s head of kano office Alh Hassan Abdulhamid Hassan, paid an advocacy and sensitisation visit to the kano state housing corporation.
Alh Abdu Rabi’u, noted with appreciation,the zeal and enthusiasm of the federal competition and consumer protection commission here in Kano toward it’s advocacy drive campaign, and pledged that KSHC would support them in that direction.
He said, Kano state housing corporation is bedeviled with alot of challenges including the inability of its tenants to settle their outstanding fees, which resulted to the current financial hardships in the corporation.
Alh Abdu Rabi’u, expressed hope that when the bilateral collaboration between the two organizations beefed up, Kano state housing corporation would have its financial tension at eased.
He however, commended the federal competition and consumer commission for their advocacy visit, and prayed to almighty Allah to guide them accordingly.
Earlier speaking, the leader of the team who is also the head of kano office of the commission Alh Hassan Abdulhamid Hassan, told the managing director, that they were at the corporation as part of their advocacy visit to various organisations to sensitise the staff of the corporation on the numerous task of the commission.
He noted with serious concern on the lack of awareness from teaming consumers on how best to protect themselves and fight for their rights on many goods and services rendering to them by individuals and corporate bodies.
In a statement released to newsmen by the Director public relations and enlightenment Muhammad Dahiru Idris said Alh Abdulhamid Hassan emphasized that Kano state Housing corporation has a great role to play towards ensuring successful sensitisation among its staff, and called for more collaborations between the corporation and the commission for realization of the desired goals.
