<p>A 23 years old kidnapper, Abdullahi Adamu has confirmed the collection of money to the whooping sum of over N9 million from their victims.</p>
<p>Adamu, an indigene of Yobe state together with his gang said to have been arrested in Shendam local government area of Plateau by the personnel of the Nigerian Police Force, Plateau State command.</p>
<p>Confessing to the crime committed while speaking to newsmen at the headquarters of the Police command Jos, Adamu stated that ” joining the kidnap group was the greatest mistake of my life.</p><div class="7NmHEaiP" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>“God decided to brought our devilish activities to an end….look at the huge amount of money collected from victims but we can’t spend it. We had our various hand work but out greed we joined kidnapping and see where it has landed us….I urged other youths to be grateful and patient where God has placed them.</p>

<p>Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Adesina explained how the command unravel the kidnap suspects.</p>
<p>According to him, “Information received from our informants on 21/05/2024 revealed that four persons suspected to be kidnappers were sighted between the border of Kuka village, Shendam LGA and Sarkin Kudu Village of Taraba State.</p>
<p>“Upon receipt of the report, the DPO Shendam division immediately led a team of armed Policemen to the area. Consequently, the following suspects were arrested; 1. Abdullahi Adamu, male, 23 years of Yobe State, 2. Musa Alhaji, 25 years of Sarkin village, Taraba State, 3. Safiyanu Abubakar, male, 20 years of Bale Sarkin Kudu, Taraba State. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include; a cash sum of Three Million, Fifteen Thousand, Eight Hundred and Fifty Naira (N3,015,850.00) only. Investigation is still ongoing.”</p>
<p>He revealed 60 suspects were arrested in connection to various crimes in Plateau and they will soon charge to court once investigation is done.</p>
<p>The CP further confirmed the arrest of 118 cultists from different locations in the state.</p>
<p>He said the cult groups initially slated 7th July each year as their celebration day where they bring new convert to their folds.</p>
<p>“Acting upon the intelligence gathered, the command swung into action and arrested the suspects while trying to carryout their activities. They will soon charge to court”, CP assured.</p>
<p>He appreciates Governor Caleb Mutfwang support for the command and promised effective utilization of human and material resources.</p>
<p>He equally appeal to Plateau citizens to always avail Police and other sister security agencies with credible information to ensure a crime free state.</p>
