Three dissolved Emirate Councils within Kano South Senatorial Zone, along with their 16 respective local government areas, have expressed their solidarity and support for the reinstated Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II, at his palace
The former first-class Emirates of Gaya, Rano, and Karaye were among those who paid homage to the reinstated Emir. Representatives from the 44 local government councils of the three senatorial zones, including council chairmen, councillors, political office holders, traditional rulers, Imams, and traditional title holders, joined in the show of support.
The dissolved Emirates, which had been upgraded to first-class status by the previous administration, expressed their solidarity with the reinstated Emir.
Briefing journalists on the importance of the solidarity visit, the state ALGON Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Bashir (Maikano), commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for heeding the voice of the people by reinstating Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano. He reiterated support and cooperation for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in fulfilling campaign promises and initiating meaningful development projects for the betterment of the state’s citizens.
Speaking on behalf of the 16 Kano North senatorial zone, Bichi Local Government Council Chairman Alhaji Ahmad Kado Bichi thanked the people of the zone for their cooperation and encouragement towards their respective chairmen and council members. He assured them of continued representation of their interests and called for prayers for peace and stability within the state.
Regarding the reinstated Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II, the chairman congratulated the entire people of the state and Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf. He urged the people of Kano North to offer maximum support and cooperation to the Emir, emphasizing his valuable experience in advocating for peace among his subjects.
