<p>Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) is pleased to announce that a Consortium of Weisky (a Chinese EPC firm) and Bagaja Renewables is set to embark on the execution of 1MWp interconnected solar mini-grid projects in Hadejia, Gumel, Kafin Hausa, Ringim, Dutse and Kazaure communities of Jigawa State, in line with our strategic partnership with the Jigawa State Government.</p><div class="y48O3noW" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>Additionally, KEDCO has issued an Invitation to Developers Furthering, through a Request for Proposal (RFQ) to welcome developers interested in embedded and mini-grid projects across the DISCO franchise area. <p>Also, KEDCO is already in advanced planning stages of other upcoming Mini-Grid Projects including, a 1MWp project in Katsina’s Barhim Estate and a significant 2.5MWp project in the Kura/Karfi rice milling cluster in Kano. Like others, these projects are expected to have a transformative impact on local economies and livelihoods through provision of stable and clean energy.</p>
