Group Urges Kano Assembly to Repeal Ganduje Emirates Laws And Pave Way For The Re-instatement of Sanusi II

The concerned citizens of Kano State are urging the Kano State House of Assembly to take immediate action following a recent letter submitted to address contentious issues surrounding the Kano Emirate system and the removal of HRH Muhammad Sanusi II from his position as Emir of Kano.

While addressing newsmen in Kano the Head of the group called Yandangwale Najib Albulkadir Salati said the urgent need to review the decision to split the Kano Emirate and advocates for the reinstatement of HRH Muhammad Sanusi II.

The Group Yan Dangwale express deep concern over the division of the Kano Emirate, a renowned traditional institution with a history spanning over 1,000 years.

Yandangwale respectfully appeal to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, to reconsider the actions taken, specifically calling for a thorough review and repeal of the law creating the four additional emirates.

According to Salati restoring a united Kano Emirate will foster greater unity and progress through streamlined governance and cohesive community building.

They urge the esteemed Assembly to investigate the removal of HRH Muhammad Sanusi II and support his reinstatement to promote fairness, rectitude, unity, peace, and stability within Kano State and neighboring communities.

The reinstatement of HRH Muhammad Sanusi II is viewed as an act of rectifying a grave injustice and demonstrating the government’s commitment to justice and the rule of law. His leadership is seen as crucial in overcoming societal challenges and building a brighter future for the people of Kano State and Nigeria at large.

The citizens implore the members of the Kano State House of Assembly to consider their plea and take swift actions to preserve the revered ancient Kano Emirate.
