The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with families of Nigeria’s Vice President,Alhaji Kashim Shettima over the death of his Stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi.
In a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Gov. Yusuf arrived Maiduguri in the early hours of Saturday 3rd February, 2024 and visited the family house of VP Shettima.
While condoling with the family of the deceased, the people and Government of Borno State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah to dwell her gentle soul in Jannatul Firdausy.
“Your Excellency, we are here on behalf of the government and good people of Kano to share our most sincere condolences to you and the extended family on the death of our beloved mother” said the Governor.
In a statement by Governor Yusuf’s Director General Media and publicity Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf prayed, ” may Almighty Allah, the most exalted grant her gentle soul eternal rest, give you the courage and the fortitude to bear her loss, and Jannatul Firdausi be her final abode ”
