In A Month ,FRCN Kaduna Goes Off Air Over Alleged Outstanding Bill”

Less than one month after resuscitation of FRCN kaduna back on air, it has gone air again.
Investigation revealed that this time,the off air was as a result of disconnections of the station by the officials of the kaduna electric distribution company KADECO.

A source who pleaded for anonymity told our reporter that the station energy bill for both of the main station in kaduna and Jaji transmitting station is outrageous and beyond the capability of the station.

He said that the disconnection was as a result of a fictitious Bill of over three hundred million naira debt owed the station by KADECO.

Commenting on the incidence,some of the station listerners described the development as sad and Unfortunate.

One of the listeners who spoke Mal Tanko Musa Gusau expressed concern that the North’s famous radio station is toeing the path of the defunct New Nigerian Newspaper.

According to him, FRCN kaduna is one of the legacies of late Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardaunan Sokoto and should not be allowed to collapse.

Another listerner, Umaru Bello Funtua said the disruption of the station operations especially at this time is becoming too much and called on authorities concerned to come to the aid of the station.

He said the station has contributed immensely to the socio economic development of not only the north but the country as a whole, through it’s various enlightening programs on issue of the country uniting and government policies and programs.

Apart from this they also appealed to northern state governments and the federal government to as a matter of urgency do the needful in supporting the station especially now that it will play a vital role in enlightening the citizens concerning fight against insecurity and religion extremism.
