<p>Reports indicate that Dr Ganduje landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport on Wednesday evening.</p>
<p>The APC national chairman was accompanied by senior party members including the state chairman of the party, Abdullahi Abbas and Murtala Sule Garo, the deputy governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 elections.</p>

<p>His visit came less than two weeks after the Supreme Court affirmed the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as the duly elected governor of Kano.<br />
This signifies a defeat for the APC governorship candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.</p>

<p>Reports have indicated that following the APC’s defeat in the state, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had called a meeting of the party leaders in Kano and advised them to reconcile with Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the opposition NNPP and Mr Yusuf’s political godfather.</p>
