Kano Allocates 22 Hectares of Land for Housing Project

The Kano State government has pledged to work in partnership with any organization that will help achieve its goals in housing delivery.

The Managing Director of Kano State Housing Corporation, Alhaji Abdullahi Rabi’u, made the assertion at a meeting with the management of the developer Questcom Limited.

Alhaji Abdullahi Rabi’u stated that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has given high priority to providing shelter to the teeming populace. He added that arrangements have reached an advanced stage to construct affordable houses at Madinawa village in Kumbotso local government area, where about 22 hectares of land have already been provided for the project.

Commenting shortly after watching a presentation made by the team leader of Questcom Limited, the MD noted with appreciation the integrity and confidence of the company toward partnering with the Corporation for housing development in the state.

Alhaji Abdullahi Rabi’u, who insisted on quality and affordable houses, urged the company to come forward for more discussions on how to make Kano a leading state in terms of housing development nationwide. He then commended the company for indicating interest in partnering with the state government through the corporation and assured them of his maximum cooperation towards realizing the desired objectives.

Earlier, in his presentation, the team leader of the company, Architect Yeshua Russel, told the managing director that they were at the corporation’s premises for a digital presentation on how the company operates and the possibility of partnering with the state government.

Mr. Yeshua enumerated a lot of achievements recorded by the company and attributed it to the company’s commitment and use of advanced technology.

The team leader, Mr. Yeshua, said the company always ensures meeting global standards and expressed hope that their partnership with the corporation would greatly help in addressing the shortage of houses, as well as achieving its mandate.
