In a heartwarming display of compassion and learning, the teachers and students of Markaz Ihyaahi Sunnah Waikhmaadi Bid’ah, situated in Line Chairman, Naibawa/Yanlemu – Kumbotso, Kano, embarked on a transformative journey on the 28th of December 2023. Their destination: Nassarawa Children’s Home and Audu Bako Zoological Garden on Zo Road, Kano.

The purpose of the visitation to Nassarawa Children’s Home transcended mere outreach; it was a mission to nurture the students’ faith, instill reverence for Allah, and cultivate a profound understanding of kindness towards orphans and the vulnerable. Under the guidance of their esteemed Director, Ustadh Ibraheem Amosa (Albaany), the students aimed to extend support, share joy, and offer assistance to the children residing at the Children’s Home.

The essence of the excursion encompassed both humanitarian endeavors and educational enrichment. It was a deliberate effort to provide the students with a respite from their academic pursuits and to offer them a tangible, firsthand experience of the diverse creations of Allah. This immersion in wildlife at Audu Bako Zoological Garden was intended to deepen their faith and understanding while highlighting the significance of wildlife management within our community.

Ustadh Ibraheem Amosa, in his role as Director, led the benevolent gesture by presenting cash donations, including a heartfelt contribution of N10,000, offered by the late I.G. Maryam, through AHIP, for the Maturation Child, along with essential food items, Tawheed books, and assorted gifts to the Children’s Home. Expressing gratitude, he acknowledged the generous support from the Adolescent Health and Information Projects (AHIP), the esteemed late I.G. Maryam, dedicated Markaz Mallams, and the Old Students’ unwavering commitment.

He emphasized the alignment of such visits and excursions with the institution’s curriculum, enhancing the student’s understanding through practical engagement with Islamic teachings and sustainable practices. Ustadh Ibraheem also called upon other Islamic institutions to follow suit, advocating for similar practical experiences such as visits to hospitals, special schools, prisons, children’s homes, zoos, and industries. He underlined the significance of these immersive experiences, urging them to become a hallmark of Islamic educational practices for emulation by conventional educational systems.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Mallama Ruqayah Al Ameen hailed Markaz as a vanguard of Islamic heritage revival, providing invaluable education and materials for over 13 years without charge. She expressed gratitude to the dedicated Markaz Mallams and offered heartfelt prayers in appreciation for their efforts.

This visitation stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to nurturing compassionate, knowledgeable, and socially responsible individuals, poised to enrich the world with their kindness and wisdom.

In the spirit of continued support, let this journey serve as an inspiration for others to extend their generosity to the Children’s Home and Islamic institutions, fostering an environment of care and enlightenment for our future generations
