Listeners of FRCN Kaduna national station have expressed disappointment over the extended period the station has been off the air. Speaking to our reporter in Zaria, Funtua, and Gusau, some voiced concern about the station’s apparent state of dormancy.
Mal Mohammed Shitu in Zaria, a long-time listener, lamented the station’s current condition, stating that he deeply missed its news and program content since it went off the air. Alh Abubakar Unguwar Dahiru in Funtua emphasized the station’s significant historical contribution to the socio-economic activities of the northern region, urging that it should not be left to decline.
In Gusau, Zamfara State, Mal Usman Bakanike Damba, another dedicated listener, called for special attention from the federal government to resuscitate the station. He noted that the experienced staff at the station had played a vital role in enlightening and educating the people of the north through various programs and news content.
The concerned listeners appealed to the federal government to urgently take steps to rehabilitate FRCN Kaduna for the well-being of its numerous listeners across the country and West Africa. It was reported that, for the past two months, FRCN Kaduna has been off the air due to various reasons, marking an unprecedented situation in the station’s history.
