The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Dr. Peter Mbah as the duly elected governor of Enugu State.
The apex court in a Friday ruling, dismissed the Appeal by the candidate of the Labour Party, Chijoke Edeoga seeking to nullify Mbah’s election.
Both the Election Petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court had upheld the declaration of Mbah as the winner of the March 18th Governorship poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
But not satisfied, Edeoga and LP challenged the victory at the three levels of the court and none of their contentions ended in their favour.
