<p>On November 19th, reports emerged that 22 justices of the Court of Appeal have been nominated by the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) for elevation to the Supreme Court and their names sent to the National Judicial Council (NJC).</p>

<p>The report was however greeted with confusion as the NJC denied knowledge of such list.</p>
<p>According to the Nigeria Television Authority, the President has sent the 11-man list to the senate for confirmation.
