The Arewa Oil and Gas Marketers Association (AROGMA) have praised the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited for the timely supply of fuel at the end of the year 2023, ensuring a fuel queue-free December.
Bashir Ahmad Danmalam, the President of AROGMA, expressed this commendation during a press briefing at his office.
Danmalam highlighted that the absence of fuel queues in December marks a significant departure from the past when people endured long waits or even spent days in queues during the year-end period.
Danmalam credited this achievement to the collaborative efforts of Adedapo Seguna, the Executive Vice President of Downstream NNPC Limited, and Lawal Sade, Managing Director of NNPC Trading Company, who worked together to ensure the prompt supply of fuel as the year concluded.
He reassured Nigerians, on behalf of AROGMA and all concerned stakeholders, that there is no need to panic, and they can celebrate Christmas, Sallah, and the new year without fuel queues. Danmalam praised the commendable efforts, emphasizing the downstream sector’s responsibility to take prompt supply seriously.
The successful initiative, led by Adedapo Seguna, demonstrates his capability for the task at hand. Danmalam added that due to this progress, one can now drive from Lagos to Maiduguri in Borno without encountering fuel queues.”
