The Supreme Court is set to begin hearing on the Kano governorship election dispute between Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Nasiru Gawuna of the NNPP and APC respectively.
Daily News 24 reports that the notice of the hearing has been served to both parties by the Supreme Court.
Recall that the Appeal Court had removed governor Abba Yusuf and declared his opponent Mr Gawuna as winner of the March 18, 2023 polls.
Since the appellate court judgement, Kano has being in a state of unease and anxiety, prompting the police to ban all forms of protest in order to prevent breakdown of law and order.
The court fixes Thursday December 21 2023 for hearing
