Famous VOA Broadcaster Kabiru Fagge Passes Away

Esteemed journalist and former broadcaster with the Hausa service of the Voice of America, Alhaji Kabiru Fagge, has passed away.

Malam Kabiru Fagge passed away at the age of 77 in the United States of America.

He worked with the Nigerian Television Authority in Kano in 1976, New Nigeriany newspapers, and Gaskiya Tafi Kwabo, a Hausa vernacular publication.

According to VOA Hausa service, Kabiru Fagge joined the Voice of America in 1989 and retired in 2014.

Kabiru Fagge was born in Fagge town in Kano metropolis in 1946.

The seasoned journalist presented one of the popular programs at VOA titled ‘Ilimi Garkuwar Dam Adam’ and presented news.

He is survived by his wife, grandchildren, and his funeral prayer will take place on Saturday, December 16, at Prince George Muslim Association (PGMA).”
