Killing of Over 100 Muslims:Letter To President Tinubu

Dear President Tinubu,

I am writing to urgently request your intervention concerning the tragic incident in Tudun Biri, a village within Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Last night, during the celebration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him and His family), more than 100 unarmed Muslims were killed by Nigerian Military Personnel. This bombardment resulted in the loss of numerous lives, including women, children, and newborns.

The indiscriminate attacks during this commemoration have sparked widespread anger and outrage within and outside Nigeria. The use of military force against civilians, especially during a peaceful gathering, is not only illegal and unconstitutional but also deeply disturbing.

The circumstances surrounding these killings raise many questions and doubts, especially as there are claims that the attacks specifically targeted Muslims. Such actions by our military personnel go against our laws, as they should be protectors of innocent lives, not perpetrators of such heinous acts.

In this era of technological advancements, where the application of Artificial Intelligence in combating insurgency could have been a viable option, the use of force resulting in civilian casualties is unacceptable.

While acknowledging the efforts of the Nigerian Military in combating insecurity, we cannot overlook or condone attacks that target innocent lives. It is imperative that a thorough investigation be conducted to identify and bring the culprits to justice. Additionally, compensation should be provided to the families of the deceased and survivors to deter any future unprofessional conduct by law enforcement agencies.

Your swift and just action in this matter is eagerly awaited.
