A coalition of over seventy lawyers has affixed their signatures to take any legal action to halt the killings by the Nigerian Armed forces, deemed as “mistakes.”

The initiator of the coalition, Abdullahi Shehu Faskari, known as Barr. AA Faskari, stated this in an interview with NIGERIAN TRACKER. Faskari mentioned that as of Tuesday afternoon, they have received interest from over 70 lawyers who volunteered to participate in securing the rights of those unjustly killed by the Army, labeled as mistakes.

The legal practitioner emphasized that the law prohibiting the killing of innocent citizens is the same law preventing killings deemed as ‘mistakes’ according to the authorities of the Nigerian Armed forces.

Barrister Faskari noted that the legal practitioners will explore avenues to ensure justice is served for those unjustly killed by the Nigerian Army’s bombardment in Igabi Local Government of Kaduna state. They plan to meet soon at Arewa House in Kaduna to strategize ways to ensure justice is done and to put an end to mistakes resulting in killings by soldiers.

He added that lawbreakers have one avenue for breaking the law, but there are 99 avenues to bring them to justice, a topic they will discuss to put an end to this menace.
