C’Division Inter-Schools Peace Science Competition 2023 Promotes Academic, Social, and Moral.

The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Okoro J Alawari, represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abubakar Haruna, commended the success of the C’Division Inter-School Science Peace Quiz Competition 2023, emphasizing its positive impact on the perception of the Nigerian Police Force.

The Grand Finale, held at the Living Faith Auditorium and Faith Academy Hall, featured 18 secondary schools from Jos North LGA. The Plateau State Commissioner of Police expressed joy at the students’ positive view of the police force, with 75% expressing interest in joining after graduation, highlighting the competition’s role in changing perceptions.

ACP Abubakar Haruna acknowledged the NPF’s social responsibility, stating that community policing aligns with the Inspector General of Police’s directive. The Plateau State Commissioner of Police urged students to consider joining the NPF, emphasizing the importance of honest service.

CSP Obinna Simeon, DPO A’Division Jos, lauded the initiative, noting its contribution to peace in Jos North LGA. He encouraged students to focus on contributing to Nigeria’s development and society rather than solely benefiting from it. The competition’s positive impact on participants was evident, with students expressing interest in joining the NPF.

Alh. Malsmi Abdullahi Salihu, Chairman of NAPPS Jos North Chapter, praised the DPO of C’Division for organizing the competition, urging students to excel in academics to avoid crime. SP Larrycarr N. Augustus, the competition organizer, expressed gratitude to attendees and promised to organize the 2024 Peace Quiz Competition.

In the competition, St Paul’s Academy claimed first place, winning N100,000, followed by Tamara Academy Jos in second place with N70,000, and Faith Academy Jos in third place with N50,000. Solace Modern School secured the fourth position. All participating schools received certificates of participation.
