In contrast to the circumstances during the previous APC administration led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the current National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, some pensioners in Kano have informed NIGERIAN TRACKER correspondents that since the inception of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf’s government, they have been receiving their full pension payments promptly on the 25th of every month.
One of the pensioners, Yusuf Musa, who spoke with NIGERIAN TRACKER, stated that since June of this year when Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf took office in Kano, he has been consistently receiving his pension without any delays or deductions.
Yusuf further explained that during Ganduje’s administration, a sum of 20,000 Naira was routinely deducted from his pension without any clear justification. However, this practice has now ceased.
Another notable pensioner in Kano, who chose to remain anonymous, disclosed to NIGERIAN TRACKER that the previous administration had been deducting 50,000 Naira from his monthly pension. Fortunately, he shared that this deduction has now ceased, and he is receiving his full pension as before.
