In a display of patriotism and resilience, primary and secondary school pupils in Plateau State braved the rain to join His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, in a grand parade celebrating Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
He commended the unwavering determination of the school pupils, and said their participation is a testament to their faith and hope in Nigeria’s future.
Expressing his gratitude, Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the dedication of all participants, especially the young students who marched despite the rain.
He emphasized the spirit of resilience, urging everyone to draw inspiration from the children and work together to elevate Nigeria.
“I want to thank each one of you and appeal to all of us to emulate these children. Despite the challenges we face, we can overcome them and restore Nigeria to its former glory. We must have faith in our country; together, we can inject life into our nation.”
Governor Mutfwang also praised the contributions and sacrifices of the military and para-military agencies in maintaining peace in Plateau State.
He expressed optimism that, with unity and faith, Plateau would experience lasting peace and progress.
Hon. Ibrahim Musa Ashoms, the Commissioner of Information and Communication, expressed appreciation to the citizens of Plateau State for attending the event, assuring them that the current administration is committed to delivering the dividends of democracy.
