The Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN), has congratulated Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on his victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
President of PIDAN, Prof. Aboi Madaki who conveyed the organization’s felicitations, also assured the Governor of the backing of the people of Plateau State.
During a courtesy visit to the Government House in Little Rayfield, Prof. Madaki, accompanied by other Executive Members of PIDAN, stated that the tribunal’s validation of the Governor’s mandate genuinely reflected the will of the people of Plateau State.
In his words, “Your Excellency, we, the Executive Committee of the Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN), are here to celebrate your victory at the Governorship Tribunal. We appreciate your remarkable leadership in managing the people of Plateau, especially during times of tension. Your victory was a historic one, and we want you to know that the people of Plateau stand firmly behind you.”
Prof. Madaki emphasized PIDAN’s commitment to preserving Plateau State’s rich heritage, declaring, “We, as PIDAN, are the custodians of this land, and we pledge to do everything in our power to safeguard the Plateau legacy.”
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, while receiving the PIDAN Executive Committee members, appealed to them to uphold the values of unity, peace, and hospitality, which are integral to Plateau State’s identity.
He expressed gratitude to the ethnic leaders for their pivotal role in fostering inclusivity among the people and pledged the state government’s continued support in promoting peace and unity.
The Governor acknowledged with gratitude, the significant contributions of ethnic nationalities in establishing schools, healthcare facilities, and financial institutions, which he said, have played a vital role in the state’s development. He stressed the importance of collaboration and cooperation for the overall progress of Plateau State.
